We are seeking a candidate for a Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist position. Applicants must excel in customer service, multi-task, assisting veterinarians and general care for the animals and clients. Must have a positive attitude and work well with people. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.50 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week for Part-time but eventually possible full-time employment.

Responsibilities

Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date. Provide information to clients about medications, treatments, and post-care instructions. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Handle animal handling tasks with care, ensuring the safety of both pets and staff.
Qualifications

Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant is preferred. Strong skills in dog handling and general animal handling techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with clients and team members. Proficiency in managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm under pressure. A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing high-quality care.
