Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, and eager to learn. Applicants with hands-on experience in animal restraint, venipuncture, and IV catheter placement will be given strong preference.
This position is best suited for an individual who thrives in a structured environment, communicates respectfully, and works with a sense of purpose and humility.
Schedule
Days: Monday-Friday
Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Lunch: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM (fully protected, no interruptions)
Weekends & On-Call: None

Key Responsibilities
Safely restrain dogs and cats for exams, procedures, and treatments
Assist with surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and preparation
Administer treatments and medications as directed by the veterinarian
Support veterinarians with patient care and diagnostics
Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment
Provide attentive care to hospitalized and boarding patients
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members
Follow established protocols and accept feedback with professionalism
Qualifications
Veterinary assistant experience preferred (1-2 years minimum ideal)
Proficient in animal restraint, blood collection, and catheter placement preferred
Calm, confident, and compassionate handling of patients
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, detail-oriented, and emotionally mature
Comfortable taking direction and adapting to feedback
Committed to ongoing learning and maintaining high standards of patient care
