Veterinary Assistant

to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for a compassionate and skilled individual who is passionate about animal welfare and eager to support our veterinarians and technicians in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting veterinarians and veterinary technicians in medical procedures. Handling and restraining animals safely and compassionately. Preparing and maintaining the cleanliness of exam rooms and surgical areas. Providing basic care to pets (feeding, watering, walking). Administering medications and vaccines under veterinary direction. Assisting with the collection of samples (blood, urine, tissue). Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records. Communicating effectively with pet owners, providing updates and discharge instructions. Assisting with inventory management and ordering of medical supplies.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment. Physical ability to lift and safely restrain pets. Basic understanding of veterinary medical terminology. Ability to work weekends, evenings, and some holidays as required.
