Full-Time, Veterinary Assistant

(Experience Preferred but not required)

for 3-doctor, small animal practice in the Grassfield area of Chesapeake. Looking to fill a full-time position, experience in the field and with Avimark software ideal, hourly wage depends on experience, benefit package to be discussed with terms of employment.

Must be able to work weeknights (open until 7pm), Saturday (open until 12pm employees work alternating weekends), and Sundays (to help with AM/PM kennel shifts).

Duties would include: assisting doctors with patients in rooms, helping with surgery, x-rays, dental procedures, running lab tests, and helping to cover Kennel shifts for boarding pets on the weekend you work (Saturday PM, Sunday AM/PM alternating shifts). Must be able to lift 50lbs as your help will be needed at times assisting the doctors or other staff members with patients. Looking for someone with an outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, eye for detail, a multi-tasker, fast-learner, can work with multiple doctors, and a team-player.
