Summary

As a Veterinary Assistant at Kindness Animal Clinic, you will play an essential role in supporting our veterinary team and ensuring the comfort and care of our animal patients. This position is vital to our mission of delivering outstanding veterinary services and enhancing the overall experience for both pets and their owners.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations and procedures by preparing equipment and handling animals safely. Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian or technician, ensuring proper dosages and protocols are followed. Monitor animal patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure their comfort and safety. Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their animals' needs and treatment plans. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic, including surgical areas, exam rooms, and kennels. Support animal husbandry practices by caring for hospitalized animals and ensuring their needs are met.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but willing to train the right candidate. Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and animal husbandry practices. Ability to handle animals safely with proper restraint techniques. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with pet owners and team members. Familiarity with veterinary clinic operations is beneficial but not required. Compassionate attitude toward animal care with a strong commitment to their well-being.
