Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to animals while assisting veterinarians in various procedures. Your expertise in animal care and veterinary practices will be crucial in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients. Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Perform routine laboratory tests and analyze results. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed. Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during surgical procedures. Provide post-operative care and educate pet owners on care instructions. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of instruments. Handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout their visit.

Qualifications

Proven experience in animal care or veterinary settings is required. Knowledge of animal anatomy, veterinary terminology, and aseptic technique is essential. Familiarity with veterinary critical care practices is a plus. Skills in dog training or behavioral understanding can enhance patient interactions. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. A passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing exceptional pet care. Must have a current Vet Tech license, having passed all State Board requirements.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
