About Us
The Vermont EMS Academy (VEMSA), a division of Rescue Inc., provides high-quality EMS education across Vermont. We are seeking a dynamic Lead Instructor to join our team and support the expansion of EMT, Advanced EMT, and Paramedic programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Licensed Paramedic
Vermont Instructor Coordinator certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
ACLS, PALS, and AHA Instructor certifications (or ability to obtain within 4 months of hire)
NAEMT Instructor (or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire)
Minimum of one year of EMS teaching experience
Must meet functional job requirements
Schedule & Commitment
Full-time, 40 hours/week w/ opportunity for overtime
Varying days/times, including evenings and weekends based on class schedules
Some off-site travel required
Active NREMT paramedic as needed to meet operational demands of the organization
Primary Responsibilities
Serve as Lead Instructor for EMT and Advanced EMT courses
Support as an adjunct Instructor for Paramedic program sim labs
Help deliver ACLS, PALS, NAEMT, and AHA courses as needed
Develop, update, and maintain course curriculum in accordance with state and national standards
Provide mentorship and evaluation of adjunct instructors
Compensation & Benefits
$30/hour (negotiable based on experience and credentials)
