POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY The primary focus of the driver is to provide safe transport for patients and EMS providers caring for critical, emergent, and non-emergent patients. This individual possesses the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide safe patient transportation. Drivers assist with equipment retrieval and patient movement with the equipment typically found on an ambulance or other patient transport vehicle. The driver is a resource for routine transport and serves in the role of courier. Minimum Requirements: 18 years of age or older Valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License with driving record acceptable by motor vehicle insurance carrier Current possession of or the ability to successfully complete within one (1) month of hire the following: Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) Valid BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA Preferred) IS 700: An Introduction to the National Incident Management System IS 100: Introduction to the ICS
System IS 200: Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response IS 800: National Response Framework, an Introduction Hazardous Materials (HAZ-MAT) Awareness (Meeting or exceeding OHSA 1910.120) Education: Possession of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) Preferred criteria include: Current or previous EMS certification or license (National or State) Length of Service: No minimum requirement. Preferred criterial include: 2 or more years of experience as an emergency response driver in an EMS, Fire, or Law Enforcement service Job Type: Full-time Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour Benefits:
