BimCon has an opening for a

VDC Specialist

. This position reports to BimCon's project VDC Superintendent and will be integral part of the project team.

Responsibilities:



Engage with project teams to support the creation, maintenance, and client satisfaction of projects.

Assist in compiling weekly project team hours and tasks reports(in-house and 3rd party).

Maintain quality of project BIM models

Read and interpret construction documentation for one or more disciplines

Perform Quality Control Review of shop drawings from production team

Provide quality shop drawings for pre-fabrication and field use to superintendent

Review shop drawings with superintendent

Assist with constructability reviews and production of quantity take off within modeling software

Ability to prepare detailed 3D drawings in Revit, AutoCAD & CADmep as well as various other design modeling and coordination software (Navisworks) formats

Exporting Data for use by others (AutoCAD, Navis)

Manage scope Navisworks Clash Detection/Model Coordination.

Attend Coordination meetings

Alerts Project Managers of coordination issues.

Create visualization aids for field crews proposals

Utilize company/client BIM procedures and policies.

Maintain project BIM document archive and retrieval for projects

Maintain project BIM files in accordance with company/client procedures

Assist in the development of personnel who work under them

Work on-site for duration of project.

Preferred Qualifications:



5+ Years experience in BIM, 3D modeling, construction technology, or related field.

Knowledge of BIM technologies with an understanding of its direction and impact on the AEC industry.

Experience with virtual project collaboration technologies

Relevant and current knowledge of current BIM related systems and infrastructure

Knowledge of BIM as it applies to construction work packaging, construction planning & sequencing

Understanding of project workflows (schematic design, design development, construction documentation phases) and basic project management.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, clearly and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

Experience with current and prior versions of Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other design technologies

Management and/or project management experience a plus

MEP+ firm experience

Ability to work independently and effectively within the team environment to encourage creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement

Self-directed and self-motivated to solve problems quickly and creatively

Strong self-motivated work ethic with ability to be effective and timely while providing consistent follow up

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00 - $43.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
