VAN INTERIOR TECHNICIAN

The Van Interior Technician will assist in the installation of commercial van interiors, working as part of a team to deliver high-quality installations. They will be responsible for using a variety of skills and tools to ensure that the installation is completed efficiently and accurately. The technician will also be required to troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise during the installation process.



Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation of shelving, partitions, and other components of commercial van interiors Install electrical and lighting systems as required Install of aftermarket truck equipment such as winches, back-up cameras and ladder racks Use hand and power tools to cut, drill, and fasten materials Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety Troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise during the installation process Work as part of a team to ensure that installations are completed on time


Skills required:

Experience in carpentry, electrical, or mechanical work Experience in 12-volt electrical systems, including wiring, diagnosis, and repair Ability to use a range of hand and power tools Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication skills to liaise with colleagues and clients Strong focus on safety at all times


Requirements:

Must have own tools. Ability to work long hours in an outside open-air shop Technical or vocational training in carpentry, electrical, or mechanical work is desirable Previous experience in a related field is an advantage Must be able to safely lift a minimum of 50lbs Ability to stoop, bend over, and stand for long periods of time
