East Side Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a compassionate and caring nursing home committed to providing quality care for our residents. We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Bus Driver to join our team and assist in transporting residents to and from medical appointments and community outings.

As a Bus Driver, you will play an important role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents. This position involves operating a company vehicle to transport residents to various scheduled appointments and activities during weekday hours.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a bus or other vehicle to transport passengers to designated locations. Assist residents in boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring use of seatbelts and mobility devices when needed. Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and mechanical soundness. Maintain a clean and safe vehicle at all times. Provide friendly, patient, and respectful service to elderly residents. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Experience in driving school buses or paratransit vehicles is preferred, but not required. Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively with diverse populations, including seniors. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks. Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including early mornings or late evenings.
