Willamette Lutheran Retirement Community is now hiring for a Part Time Van Driver position. The position is 4 days a week, Sunday 8:00AM-12:00PM and Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8:30am to 3:30pm. Occasional extended hours on weekdays. The primary purpose of the position is to assure the transportation needs of the residents are being met; that they are transported to and from their destinations in a safe, timely, and efficient manner; and that light maintenance duties are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Transports facility residents on doctor visits. Replace light bulbs, empty trash, paper and other debris. Maintain a record of vehicle trips: number of people and where to. Maintain vehicles in proper order by washing, maintaining fluids (oil, water, etc.) Report problems in need of repair. Be able to present a congenial, professional, and pleasing manner to residents, visitors, and staff. This is not a seasonal position, and we are looking for someone who is interested in working part time long term. Must be able to pass drug screen Due to working with vulnerable seniors , must have had Covid-19 vaccine or willing to receive the vaccine upon hire. Must possess a valid Oregon Driver's License and follow the rules of the road set by the Oregon Department of Transportation. Must have an excellent driving record without any citations or accidents for a three year time period. Must have knowledge of safety and health regulations as they apply.
