As a result of our continued growth and success, we are seeking a Manager to act as the lead professional on engagements, which includes managing the day-to-day tasks of projects and serving as a principal contact with client personnel. Within these engagements you will oversee and contribute to the production of client deliverables across a variety of engagements including enterprise, debt, equity, and intangible asset related valuations for private equity clients, alternative asset managers, Business Development Company (BDC) clients, privately held businesses, and publicly traded companies.

As a Valuation Services Manager, you will:

  • Assist in quality control, execution, and industry consultation across the entire Valuation Group\xe2\x80\x99s platform
  • Maintaining overall engagement management responsibilities for a full suite of projects including the valuation of business enterprises, debt instruments, equity securities, and other hybrid/structured securities using standard valuation methodologies, including discounted cash flow, comparable transactions and comparable public companies
  • Present analyses and conclusions to internal management and external client POCs, their boards of directors, and to fiduciaries
  • Work closely with Associates and Senior Associates, delegating engagement responsibilities, conducting reviews of work product, and supporting professional development through coaching
  • Active participating in diligence meetings; analyze and challenge assumptions related to future financial projections
  • Review client investment memoranda, investor presentations, credit and equity agreements, and financial models to develop an understanding of the portfolio company or subject securities being analyzed
  • Perform purchase price allocations for financial reporting and/or tax purposes under US GAAP
  • Analyze historical financial and operating results of target companies to explain business trends and identify risks
  • Assist in the development of discount rates (WACC, IRR, WARA, etc.)
  • Conduct financial statement analysis (e.g., common size analysis, ratio analysis, trend analysis, and industry comparative analysis)
  • Perform market/ industry research and develop industry growth estimates
  • Construct and review valuation and other financial models
  • Negotiate engagement documents, write client proposals, and manage the various aspects of the invoicing process of client billing
  • Network with prospects to build revenue producing relationships in an effort to drive the individual\xe2\x80\x99s business development initiatives
What you bring to the role:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field;
  • Minimum 4+ years of demonstrated experience performing work related to fair value of debt, equity, purchase price allocation, and/or goodwill impairments in a public accounting, consulting, or investment banking environment
  • Excellent understanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations
  • Advanced accounting, finance, financial modeling and analytical abilities
  • The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with an exceptional work ethic, and have a demonstrated ability and desire to work cooperatively with team members and client professionals
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
Additional, nice to have qualifications:
  • Advanced degree and/or certification (MBA, MS, ASA, ABV, CFA)
  • Prior experience in Big 4 or independent valuation consulting, as well as transaction advisory services
  • Demonstrated experience managing Associates, Sr. Associates, or other personnel to support the delivery of valuation engagements

The salary range for this position is $86,800 to $179,950. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
