Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Develop skill acquisition programs while ensuring linkage with support plan goals for individuals receiving services in Quest Group Homes and Training Centers. Promote programs to enhance and increase individuals' independence. Provide competency-based training and re-training on the implementation of skill acquisition programs to Direct Support Professional staff including the required data collection. Monitor the provision of programming by staff as well as the success of the programs. Conduct skill validations when individual has mastered his/her acquisition program. Model the delivery of routine, daily behavior management and skills training of the individuals served. Develop partnerships with staff which positively impact the environment and effectively engage others in problem solving barriers to progress. Collect, record, interpret, and monitor data and progress on resident skill acquisition programming. Assist staff to maintain a positive, engaging, learning environment. Ensure compliance with all state, local, and funding source standards, including submitting all documentation in a timely manner. Assist with the implementation of the internal audit system as requested. Follow all safety procedures and train others to do the same. Use safety procedures when moving individuals during behavioral crisis. Attend support plan meetings and advocate for individuals to assist in the development of goals that are functional, obtainable, and chosen by the individual. Consult with other professionals including Program Directors, Residential Healthcare Coordinator, Behavior Analysts, and guardians to develop and implement individualized goals for assigned individuals. Maintain communication and collaboration with individuals, family members, social support systems, and service providers as appropriate. Attend and participate in Behavior department meetings, required training, case reviews, staff meetings, and other meetings as requested. Self-monitor training records to ensure that all required certifications/validations and other training courses are current.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; must be 18 years or older required Minimum 3 years' experience working with Intellectually and/or developmentally disabled population.
