AITX Repair Services is currently seeking candidates to fill our open Valve Technician positions.

A Valve Technician will be responsible for the removal, tagging for identification for later reapplication, tank car product and pressure relief valves.


JOB DUTIES



Interpret job work orders to perform required repairs Coordinate and complete repairs in an efficient manner and within assigned hours Follow all safety rules, keep work area clean and comply with all AITX EHS Policies Ensure AAR, ARS and customer quality assurance standards are met


JOB REQUIREMENTS



Ability to read and write English at a high school level Ability to work in the heat and cold and in all-weather conditions Comfortable working around heavy equipment and on top of and under railcars, as well as around railroad tracks. Experience with a variety of hand tools and power tools and mechanical repair Knowledge of machines and tools required to weld, cut and gouge Ability to follow oral and written instructions including basic blueprints and schematics. Basic mechanical skills and the ability to read a tape measure Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
