We are seeking a proactive and skilled Utility Operator to join our manufacturing facility team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining smooth operations across various plant systems, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability. Your expertise in industrial mechanics, electrical systems, and maintenance will help keep our production processes running seamlessly. Duties



Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulic systems, and high-voltage electrical components to ensure optimal performance. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify potential issues before they escalate. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document maintenance activities, track equipment history, and schedule repairs. Perform troubleshooting on electrical circuits using ammeters, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments; repair or escalate as needed. Assist with mechanical repairs such as welding (including welding), HVAC/R systems, and hydraulic repairs to maintain facility infrastructure. Operate field service equipment like scissor lifts safely to access elevated areas for maintenance or inspection tasks. Support safety protocols by adhering to lockout/tagout procedures, managing low voltage and high voltage systems safely, and maintaining a clean work environment. Collaborate with team members on technical sales support by providing insights into system capabilities or repair options when required. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and inspections in compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Skills



Extensive experience working within a manufacturing facility environment with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics and electrical systems. Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting electrical circuits using ammeters and ohmmeters. Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance scheduling and record keeping. Skilled in hydraulics, welding (including welding), HVAC/R systems, and low voltage electrical work. Ability to read technical schematics, analyze system performance data, and perform precision measurements with specialized instruments. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by industrial electrician experience; familiarity with high voltage safety standards is essential. Experience in industrial maintenance roles within manufacturing settings; military background is a plus for discipline and safety awareness. Excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external vendors during field service activities. Capable of operating field service equipment such as scissor lifts safely while adhering to all safety regulations.
Fluent in English with strong communication skills to document procedures clearly and collaborate effectively across teams. Pay: From $16.00 per hour
