Must be able to lift 75 pounds. Valid FL Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement at time of application and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment. Respiratory screen/chest x-ray and Hearing Loss Test required for selected candidate.

Responsible work in construction, maintenance, or general labor operations; leads, directs, schedules work, and assists subordinates in their daily work. Responsible for coordinating the construction, maintenance, and repair of water distribution and wastewater collection systems; performs emergency repairs to water and sewer services, mains, and any other appurtenances; installs and removes water meters. Directs subordinate personnel in water and sewer line repairs; performs independently within the limits of plans; schedules new water service installations for contractors, assessment projects, and homeowners. Work is reviewed through on-site inspections and conferences.
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of six (6) years of experience in the construction, maintenance, or repair of water distribution/wastewater collection systems or closely related field, including four (4) years of experience directing the work of others in the construction, maintenance, or repair of water distribution/wastewater collection systems.
Necessary Special Requirements: Must possess the following at time of application:
1.Florida Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement and no 5th wheel restriction (licensed to drive any tractor-trailer with GVWR of 26,001 pounds or more) AND
2.Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Level 2 Water Distribution License AND
3.Water Utilities Department (WUD)-recognized Class B Wastewater Collection Certification.
Copies of Licenses and Certification, including Class A CDL, must be uploaded to online application by 5:00 P.M. on the closing date.
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE: Using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)/Maximo/Customer Information System (CIS); addressing/resolving customer service complaints in a government setting. Also desirable: FDEP Level 1 Water Distribution License; FWPCOA Class A Certificate.
