Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Utility Construction Cable Plow Operator to join our team. This role involves operating specialized equipment to install underground utility cables efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and experience with landscape maintenance or related fields. Duties

Operate cable plow machinery and excavators to lay underground utility cables according to project specifications. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment, including power tools and hand tools, ensuring optimal performance. Assist with site preparation, including landscaping, lawn care, and gardening tasks to facilitate construction activities. Use various hand tools and power tools to support installation, trenching, and backfilling processes. Maintain safety standards by recognizing potential hazards such as tree care issues, irrigation systems, or hardscape obstacles. Support additional landscaping tasks like tree trimming, mowing, snow plowing, and horticulture activities as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.

Requirements

Mechanical knowledge and experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators or similar construction equipment. Prior experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening is preferred. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in construction and maintenance tasks. Knowledge of irrigation systems, tree care, snow plowing, hardscape installation, and horticulture is a plus. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety protocols. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow technical instructions precisely. Physical stamina for operating machinery and performing manual tasks over extended periods. Prior experience in landscaping or tree trimming is advantageous but not required. Pay: $22.54 - $27.14 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
