Job Title: Statement/Loan Processing Assistant :
The Statement/Loan Processing Assistant is responsible for data processing for monthly statements and loan servicing functions for seller-financed transactions. This includes familiarity with data/text file manipulation as well an understanding of how loans are serviced. This position plays a critical role in providing data driven results and the highest quality of customer service to all of our customers. Providing assistance to the department by being proficient in all areas of data processing, sorting, mailing, and loan servicing. STATEMENT PROCESSING DUTIES: \xef\x82\xb7 Import files of various formats. \xef\x82\xb7 Manipulate data to comport with Postage Standards \xef\x82\xb7 Familiarity with Production Printing \xef\x82\xb7 Monthly statement processing LOAN PROCESSING DUTIES: \xef\x82\xb7 Request for services (forms, website, requirements) \xef\x82\xb7 Setup new accounts (Private Note, Rentals and Holdbacks) \xef\x82\xb7 Reserve accounts/ paying property taxes &insurance /analysis \xef\x82\xb7 Daily payment processing \xef\x82\xb7 Coupon / Statement weekly and monthly processing \xef\x82\xb7 Quoting and processing loan payoffs and reconveyance processing \xef\x82\xb7 Closing out accounts \xef\x82\xb7 Annual coupon mailing \xef\x82\xb7 Yearend processing - 1098/1099 tax reporting and yearend processing \xef\x82\xb7 Provide contract collection customer service to both payers and payees \xef\x82\xb7 Fee Billings \xef\x82\xb7 Re-amortization: correct account principal & interest accruals as needed \xef\x82\xb7 Full understanding of Interest calculations daily and monthly \xef\x82\xb7 Set up and maintain automatic payments requests. \xef\x82\xb7 Answer customer inquiries regarding payments, account fees, reserve analysis, modifications, delinquencies,
NSF notices misc. account changes. Via mail, fax, email and US mail delivery and walk-ins. \xef\x82\xb7 Assist other team members as needed; all staff will be cross-trained on all department functions. Work will be allocated with some specialization. Skills Required: \xef\x82\xb7 Ability to work under deadlines with frequent changes in priorities and with an emphasis on customer service and teamwork. \xef\x82\xb7 Perform a variety of data processing and loan servicing duties, requiring a high level of organizational skills with attention to detail with a large volume of work. \xef\x82\xb7 Must demonstrate sound judgment. \xef\x82\xb7 Ability to handle a high volume of phone calls. \xef\x82\xb7 Excellent communication skills: verbal and written. Ability to compose and type professional business letters and emails. \xef\x82\xb7 Experience in handling a wide range of customer interactions including potential to handle difficult customer situations as well as explain complex loan information. \xef\x82\xb7 Maintain a pleasant, patient and friendly attitude. \xef\x82\xb7 Be a self\xe2\x80\x93starter, dependable, accurate in completing responsibilities with strong attention to detail. \xef\x82\xb7 Excellent numerical dexterity and analytical skills. \xef\x82\xb7 Proficient in FoxPro and SQL and Word and Excel preferred. \xef\x82\xb7 Experience in data, printing, mailing, real estate, loan servicing, escrow, title or banking a plus.
