Job Description
Maintain general cleanliness of facility.
Duties and responsibilities
Maintain hoppers and trashcans for scraps and any waste. Transport carriers to necessary department (including unloading and location control, when needed) Maintenance of facility both inside and outside. + Winter Months: use snow removal machine to clear snow and salt throughout facility (ex. parking area, walking area)
+ Use the sweeper machine to clean production floor.
Band coils. Load export containers. Follow safety procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Able to read, write and speak English. Basic computer skills High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience operating forklift and overhead crane in an industrial setting.
Working conditions
Regularly lifting, traveling up and down stairs, standing, sitting, squatting and bending in various positions - traveling in and out of work areas, walking and being on your feet for a majority of the work day. Daily exposed to noise, dust, fumes, and odors. Physical exertion is required. May be required to work in a non-air-conditioned area or outside during the winter months to clear snow. Vision protection, metatarsal steel-toed shoes, hard hat, ear plugs, and high visibility clothing is required.
Physical requirements
Lift minimum of 50 pounds. Drive, bend and climb. Able to see and hear. Must be able to identify and distinguish colors.
