We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver (Independent Contractor) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for Delivering Mail and Packages efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a strong driving background, with experience in various types of vehicles. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a high level of professionalism will be key to ensuring customer satisfaction.

Duties

Operate Your Own Vehicle to and from the Post Office Execute route driving tasks efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transport. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and mechanical integrity. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding schedules and any issues that may arise. Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with clients during pickups and deliveries. Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues as they arise.

Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery driver roles is essential.. Strong understanding of route planning and navigation skills. Experience with heavy haul operations or yard jockey duties is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Previous warehouse experience or knowledge of freight handling is beneficial. A valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated is required; additional certifications may be necessary based on specific vehicle requirements.
