Duties:

- Manage and oversee all aspects of the used car department

- Develop and implement strategies to increase used car sales and profitability

- Monitor and analyze market trends to determine pricing strategies

- Maintain a strong inventory of quality used cars

- Conduct appraisals and negotiate trade-in values with customers

- Ensure proper merchandising and presentation of used cars on the lot

- Collaborate with the sales team to maximize sales opportunities

- Train, motivate, and supervise the used car sales staff

- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process

Experience:

- 5+ years of experience in automotive retail, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role specifically within a used car department

- Demonstrated success managing a high-volume used car operation (75-100+ units/month)

- Proven ability to hire, train, and develop sales teams with measurable results

- Deep knowledge of acquisition strategies, appraisal tools (vAuto, Kelley, Manheim MMR, etc.), and online pricing/merchandising platforms

- Strong understanding of dealership financials, P&L, and inventory turns

- Comfortable working cross-functionally with F&I, service, and sales to drive department performance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
