We're hiring a vigilant Security Guard to safeguard our recycling yards and operations in the Eastern region. If you thrive in dynamic environments and have a sharp eye for safety, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
What You'll Do:
Field incoming calls from security/fire monitoring agencies. Patrol recycling yards by vehicle and on foot. Monitor cameras for suspicious activity, fire risks, and safety hazards. Respond to incidents, assess situations, and coordinate with management. Collaborate with IT, local law enforcement, and emergency responders. Maintain detailed logs of calls, alarms, and incidents. Follow standard procedures and support daily operations.
What You Bring:
5+ years of security experience (fire monitoring a plus). Strong knowledge of security protocols and patrolling techniques. Excellent written and verbal communication. Sharp attention to detail and ability to stay alert during shifts. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's license required.
The Realities of the Role:
Indoor control room + outdoor patrols in all weather (rain, heat, snow). PPE required. Light lifting may be needed. * Flexible schedule - evenings, weekends, and rotating shifts.
