Job Overview

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join as After School teaching team. The ideal candidate will have a nurturing spirit and a strong commitment to fostering the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. As an after school teacher you will be working with children ages 5-12 years.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and hands-on activities. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration among students. Assess and monitor each child's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development. Create an inclusive atmosphere that accommodates children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education support. Organize and lead activities such as arts and crafts, music, sports, and storytelling to enhance children's learning experiences. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment in compliance with health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for all students.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children in daycare after school settings or similar environments is preferred. Skills in sports coaching, tutoring, theater, or camp leadership can enhance the learning experience for students. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. A nurturing attitude with the ability to engage young learners in meaningful way.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
