Sistema Part-time General Music Teacher
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for teaching general music for our after-school music program. Sistema Utah is partnered with American Preparatory Academy to offer music classes for free to under-resourced students. Patterned after the El Sistema movement that originated in Venezuela, it is our hope to empower our students for social change.
Duties/Responsibilities:
As our general music teacher, you will teach groups of children in grades 1-4 elements of music while introducing them to the great music compositions. Hours are M, T, F, 3:15 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and W, Th, 2:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Education/Experience:
A college music degree and Suzuki Method teacher training is a plus but not required. * Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour DOE
