Timberwise is a New England mill producing locally sourced, kiln-dried, planed, and custom-profiled lumber. We partner with trusted arborists across the Greater Boston region to deliver reliable, build-ready material with proper chain of custody.

Job Summary

We are seeking an independent, self-motivated

Commission-Based Sales Representative

to expand Timberwise's lumber sales across the Northeast. This role focuses on generating new business with lumberyards, contractors, fabricators, landscapers, and specialty wood buyers while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.

Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new lumber buyers and wholesale accounts Promote Timberwise's inventory (kiln-dried lumber, S4S, custom profiles, bulk orders) Sell species available year-round: Pine, Spruce, Hemlock, Cedar, Oak, Maple, Ash, Poplar, Locust, Walnut, Beech Develop and maintain lasting client relationships Track lead activity, customer needs, market trends, and order opportunities Provide customer feedback to support inventory and production planning

Qualifications

Experience in lumber sales, construction materials, or related industries preferred Existing relationships with Northeast lumberyards or contractors is a plus Strong communication and relationship-building skills Comfortable with commission-only compensation Ability to understand species, moisture content, and mill capabilities (training provided) Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to grow a customer base Valid driver's license and ability to travel regionally as needed
