Tradewinds School, a new micro-school for highly gifted elementary students, is seeking two teacher/interns--one with a passion for the sciences and one with a passion for the humanities. We are building an innovative learning environment that blends rich, hands-on inquiry with emerging AI-powered educational tools as part of our mission.

Duties
Training provided to develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the needs of gifted students, incorporating innovative teaching methods and learning technology to enhance student engagement.
Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies, creating a safe and inclusive environment conducive to learning.
Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations.
Provide mentorship and guidance to students, fostering their social-emotional development and encouraging responsible citizenship.
Engage in curriculum development efforts to continuously improve instructional materials and teaching practices.
Utilize learning technology tools such as educational software, AI and other digital resources, to enrich classroom activities.
Maintain records of student performance, attendance, behavior, and communication with parents or guardians.
Participate in school meetings, professional development workshops, and administrative activities related to education administration.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in focus areas ( Science or Humanities) or Elementary Education
Proven classroom experience working with children in upper elementary levels.
Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning.
Willing to learn and incorporate technology tools and integrating into lessons.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
Writing skills necessary for documenting progress reports and instructional plans.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
