*The preferred duty station for this position is Olympia, Washington. However, other duty stations may be considered.

Play a critical role in meeting the agency\'s statewide resource conservation and management mandates related to upland game, carnivore, and furbearer Species. Help to provide sustainable recreational hunting opportunity while maintaining viable game populations.
Lead the development and implementation of the long-term strategic vision for species under the assigned section. Provide statewide leadership by formulating statewide policies and procedures, and works with other Section Managers, Regional Program Managers, Division Managers, District Wildlife Biologist, and other staff to implement annual work plans to achieve the Wildlife Program strategic vision.

With that in mind,
Picture yourself, formulating and coordinating policies and procedures for all issues related to your assigned species.
In this dynamic role, you will represent the agency in statewide, regional, federal, tribal, and international forums.
With your experience, you will have statewide responsibility for the preservation, perpetuation and management of upland game, carnivores, and furbearers throughout Washington State.
