Upholstery Lead

to support and grow our soft seating production department. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on process improvement, product development, and delivering the high-quality seating products that make today's learning spaces dynamic, welcoming, and durable.

About the Role

As our

Upholstery Lead

, you'll be at the forefront of a growing area in our manufacturing operation, helping to build out and optimize our soft seating line. Working closely with departments like Engineering, Product Development, and Supply Chain, you'll oversee day-to-day upholstery production, implement process improvements, and assist in launching new, innovative seating solutions that support modern learning environments.

What You'll Do

Lead and develop

our soft seating upholstery department, working side-by-side with plant leadership to establish efficient workflows and high production standards.

Collaborate cross-functionally

to bring new products to life - on time and within budget.

Optimize production

by monitoring equipment needs, supply usage, and maintenance schedules.

Train and support

team members, ensuring safety and quality standards are consistently met.

Monitor KPIs

like material waste, indirect labor, and production timelines to ensure performance targets are hit.

What We're Looking For

3+ years

of experience in upholstery applications (soft seating preferred) High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training a plus Solid knowledge of upholstery processes, equipment, and techniques Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Able to lift up to 50 lbs and spend most of the shift on your feet
