Description:
Provide timely and courteous service by processing transactions in a professional and efficient manner, answering customer questions and referring customers to the appropriate area in such a manner that customer and department feedback is positive. Efficiently analyze and assess customer's financial needs and suggest bank services that will exceed customer expectations by selling and cross-selling Bank products, obtaining required documents from the customer to open accounts and performing required computer input accurately and in compliance with banking regulation to create and maintain customer records. Be operationally efficient by maintaining daily transactions and balances in accordance with the established schedule (usually every other day) by researching outages and balancing the drawer in an accurate and timely manner. Be able to research outages quickly and efficiently without assistance. Promote sales culture and referrals by actively participating in and promoting the bank's sales culture and participating in the referral process in accordance with customer needs and ensuring involvement in bank promotions while meeting referral goals. Perform a variety of operational duties by following proper procedures for handling non-sufficient fund and collection items, balancing the ATM, monitoring video camera operations, maintaining the security checklist and various reports in an accurate and timely manner. Display a proactive team approach and assists where needed to provide customer service. Communicate and work with others to create an exceptional customer experience. Identify customer needs and develop solutions to exceed customer goals and expectations. Constructively interact with co-workers.

There are four levels within the Universal Associate role. The Universal Associate III completes all requirements of Universal Associate I and II roles, including teller and new account duties, and completes consumer loan transactions including taking and processing the application with appropriate supporting documents, closing the loan, and accurately completing all necessary documentation. Demonstrates good analytical and decision-making skills. *

Universal Associate levels III and IV may be granted specific limits of lending authority after successful completion of Consumer and Home Equity training (NMLS# required).

HOURS

will average approximately 40 per week and will include working some Saturday mornings. This position is budgeted for 2,080 hours per year.


Requirements:
Three-plus years of position-related experience. Knowledge and understanding of bank policies and procedures regarding consumer lending, deposit, retirement and other services. Experience in community and civic activities. Knowledge of position-related banking laws and regulations. Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and related program software. Ability to quickly learn position-related software. Ability to effectively use general office equipment. Associate degree in business or banking, or equivalent educational experience. (preferred) Position-related AIB courses and/or diplomas. (preferred) Experience selling bank products. (preferred)
