Optalis Health & Rehabilitation in Three Rivers, MI is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated

Unit Manager / Infection Control Nurse

to lead our nursing department and oversee infection prevention initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for quality care, and a dedication to maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and staff development in our facility.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage nursing operations to ensure quality resident care. Develop, implement, and evaluate infection control policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations. Conduct infection surveillance, data analysis, and staff education related to infection prevention. Lead and mentor nursing staff, ensuring clinical excellence and adherence to facility standards. Participate in the development and implementation of nursing service objectives, policies, and procedures. Collaborate with physicians, staff, and department heads to maintain a coordinated care environment. Serve as a resource for staff regarding infection prevention and control practices. Support and model the facility's mission, vision, and values in all professional activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) with a current Michigan state license. Infection Prevention Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire. Proven leadership and organizational skills. Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation abilities. Demonstrated compassion for and interest in caring for elderly and disabled residents. Commitment to upholding residents' rights and facility policies.
