Position Summary:

The

Unit Manager (RN/LPN)

is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations of their assigned unit. This includes supervising nursing staff, ensuring high-quality resident care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering teamwork and communication across departments. The ideal candidate is an experienced nurse leader with excellent organizational and clinical skills, who leads by example and promotes a positive work culture.

Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff on the assigned unit. Ensure all care is delivered in accordance with resident care plans, facility policies, and state/federal regulations. Conduct rounds to monitor resident conditions and staff performance. Coordinate care with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharge planning. Monitor documentation for accuracy and completeness. Support, mentor, and train staff to ensure clinical excellence and teamwork. Participate in quality assurance, infection control, and performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Current RN or LPN license (in good standing) in the state of Iowa. Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience required. Leadership or charge nurse experience preferred. Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills. Compassionate leader with a commitment to resident-centered care.
