Gifford is seeking a Unit Coordinator to join our Med/Surg team. This dynamic dual-role position combines essential secretarial responsibilities with hands-on Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) duties. Under the direction of the Charge Nurse and Clinic Nurse Manager, the Unit Coordinator supports day-to-day operations and patient care while maintaining a positive, flexible, and self-directed approach.


Responsibilities include providing direct patient care within the LNA scope; assisting with activities of daily living; documenting vital signs and other patient data; safely transporting and supporting patients; and communicating effectively with the healthcare team. The role also includes emergency response support, registering and discharging patients in the EMR, delivering prompt reception and clerical support, maintaining clean and well-stocked rooms, and helping connect patients with financial counseling when needed. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting both clinical staff and patients.


Requirements:

Current LNA licensure in the state of Vermont Prior acute care experience preferred BLS certification
