Description:



Position Purpose:



The Unit Clerk performs receptionist and secretarial duties on the clinical unit. Serves as a communication liaison on the clinical unit.



What you Will Do:



Assures the medical record is adequately supplied and in proper order. Assures the workstation equipment is functioning appropriately, office supplies are adequate (not excessive) and maintains an updated working knowledge of new equipment and technology. Transcribes and/or enters written physician orders, completes necessary forms, requisitions, and communication of all orders approved/reviewed by RN. Places and maintains manual orders and prints appropriate downtime forms as needed Performs duties accurately, recognizing their importance and relationship to patient care. Maintains record (inventory) of computers and other equipment for all devices assigned to department/unit. Troubleshoots low-level computer/equipment issues. Performs routine maintenance on computers/equipment devices and utilizes appropriate processes/systems to communicate computer/equipment problems/issues

HOURS:



7:00 AM - 7:00 PM - 12-hour shifts, 3/week, every other holiday and every third weekend



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



Education:



High school graduate or GED or equivalent. Experience: Basic computer experience required. Experience in a clerical role preferred. Completes Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 5 year
