Position Summary

To provide medical records and support services for the outpatient unit and Outpatient Coordinator.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training and experience Keyboarding ability of 50 WPM Word processing experience or equivalent training Knowledge of medical records processing helpful Excellent spelling, proofreading and grammar skills Experience or training in a Windows-based computer environment

Responsibilities

Work an eight hour shift five days a week and be available to work additional hours when necessary. Overtime may be required.

Create matrixes for appropriate clients and file in the client's chart.

Copy sign-in sheets each morning to assist with needed documentation.

Input admissions and discharges into the system.

Perform weekly chart reviews and record in client charts as required.

Track that all documentation is in the charts and mark complete, incomplete or missing documentation.

Perform support services for outpatient unit and Outpatient Coordinator as assigned.

Serve as a member of the Medical Records and Outpatient Team and participate in all team meetings and activities as required.

Coordinate and maintain organization of the outpatient unit.

Maintain filing outpatient charts as assigned.

Input data and prepare reports as assigned.

Understand and comply with all of the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.

Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.

Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.

Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by management.

Starting Pay

(based on education, experience, and credentials*)
+ HS/GED - $19.32 per hour
