Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and Underwrite:

Review and manage submissions with accuracy, following established guidelines and delegated authority.

Customer Engagement:

Handle quotes, re-quotes, and endorsements with a customer-first approach, delivering exceptional service.

Relationship Building:

Develop and maintain strong customer relationships that support retention and business growth.

Collaboration:

Work closely with teams across Underwriting, Business Development, Claims, IT, and others to support cohesive operations.

Innovation:

Research market trends, analyze competitive insights, and contribute to product development initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities

Mentorship:

Support and guide new underwriters, sharing knowledge to strengthen team performance.

Continuous Learning:

Participate in ongoing professional development, including required underwriting classes, exams, and designations within 24 months of hire.

Qualifications

Experience:

3+ years of underwriting experience (Commercial Property & Casualty, Personal, or Management & Professional Liability),

or

5+ years in a related field.

Preferred:

Insurance coursework such as CPCU, RPLU, or similar.

Travel:

Willingness to travel as needed to support customer relationships (for travel-based roles).
