Responsibilities

Monitor and patrol designated areas to deter unauthorized access, theft, or vandalism Control access points by verifying identities and issuing visitor passes in accordance with established procedures Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to observe activity and identify potential security threats Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations or conflicts, utilizing appropriate protocols Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks for record-keeping and reporting purposes Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary to ensure swift resolution of issues Enforce facility policies related to safety, conduct, and loss prevention with professionalism and tact Perform routine inspections of security equipment such as CCTV cameras, alarms, and fencing to ensure operational readiness

Requirements

Proven ability to remain alert and attentive during long shifts in various environments Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV), conflict management techniques, and loss prevention strategies Basic first aid certification and CPR training to respond effectively in medical emergencies Experience or background in law enforcement, military service, or security roles is highly desirable Strong communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and visitors Ability to handle stressful situations calmly while making sound decisions quickly Valid security license or certification as required by local regulations (if applicable) Physical fitness to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods
