Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying identification and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or safety hazards. Utilize CCTV surveillance systems to observe activity across the property, ensuring all areas are secure and compliant with safety protocols. Respond swiftly and effectively to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations or disturbances, using first aid or CPR when necessary. Enforce security policies and procedures while managing conflicts professionally and calmly. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for record-keeping purposes. Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when required, providing accurate information and support during investigations or emergencies. Conduct loss prevention activities by monitoring for theft or vandalism and implementing preventative measures.

Requirements

Proven experience in security roles or related fields such as law enforcement, military service, or private security. Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified. Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems and conducting visual inspections. Knowledge of conflict management techniques to de-escalate tense situations effectively. Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining professionalism at all times. Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members, visitors, and emergency personnel. Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and security protocols is preferred. Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods as required by the role.
