Duties

Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards using surveillance tools such as CCTV systems. Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. Respond swiftly to incidents or disturbances, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations effectively. Perform safety checks and assist in emergency response situations, including administering first aid or CPR when necessary. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches to ensure accurate record-keeping. Support loss prevention initiatives by observing and reporting theft or vandalism activities. Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during critical incidents to ensure swift resolution.

Qualifications

Proven ability to remain alert and attentive during long shifts; physically capable of standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods. Prior experience in security or law enforcement is highly desirable; military background is a plus. Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and familiarity with loss prevention techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain these certifications if not already held. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle tense situations calmly and professionally. Excellent observational skills combined with a keen eye for detail to identify potential security issues early. Ability to work independently while adhering to company policies and procedures.
