We are seeking a dedicated Ultrasonographer to join our medical imaging team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment planning. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, excellent patient care skills, and effective communication abilities. The Ultrasonographer will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality imaging services in a professional and compassionate manner.
Responsibilities
Conduct diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients, including abdominal, pelvic, vascular, and other specialised examinations.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the examination.
Operate advanced imaging equipment such as MRI and CT scanners when required, ensuring optimal image quality.
Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures performed in accordance with organisational protocols.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide relevant information for diagnosis.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and cleaned following health and safety standards.
Stay updated with the latest developments in medical imaging technology and techniques through ongoing professional development.
Adhere to strict confidentiality and data protection policies regarding patient information.
Qualifications
recognised qualification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent recognised by relevant health authorities.
Proven experience in medical imaging, including ultrasound, MRI, or CT scans is desirable.
Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with diverse patient groups.
Good IT skills for operating imaging equipment and managing digital records.
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and professionalism at all times.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
