is seeking a

full-time Ultrasound Tech

to work with our

Diagnostic Imaging Department.

Under the direction of the Ultrasound Supervisor, is responsible for the day-to-day operation of all ultrasound activities at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Ultrasound Technologists ensure the quality of services rendered is acceptable. Confirms orders, documents, medical necessity, and pre-authorization on all ultrasound orders. Provides care to patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic procedures as directed.

Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Junior College/Technical School required, Bachelor's Degree required. American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (

ARDMS

) Certification required American Registration of Radiologic Technologists (

ARRT

) Certification in Radiology and/or Sonography preferred. WV Medical Imagining License preferred. AHA BLA required. One year of position related experience preferred.. The

kind

of position-related experience includes: + Good working knowledge of anatomy, pathology, medical terminology and application software. Ability to skillfully operate US scanner and related patient support equipment is required. Adherence to established procedure protocols.
+ Working knowledge of all US examinations, exam preps and other information pertinent to placing orders and verifying appropriateness.
