Here We Grow Early Learning Center is a childcare center that is owned and operated by JoAnne Albrecht in Draper, UT. We are open Monday through Friday from 7 am to 6 pm. Our core values are Compassion, Helpful, Integrity, Laughter, and Development. We are a tight-knit team supporting families in raising their children by providing high-quality care and education for each child in an environment that is nurturing, exciting, and fun!

We are searching for an energetic, consistent, and patient person to teach and to be a positive role model in our terrific two-year-old classroom! We call our two\xe2\x80\x99s class the \xe2\x80\x98Discovery\xe2\x80\x99 class because two-year-olds are naturally curious and always observing the world around them, exploring their independence, and acquiring an ever-growing vocabulary. This means you would get to foster learning in a classroom full of hugs, fun, and wonder.

Our Two\'s or "Discovery" Teacher Key Roles and Responsibilities include:

• Talk regularly, read books, sing songs and implement basic sign language to build communication skills and vocabulary.
• Provide basic needs, such as diapering, potty training, serving meals and appropriate portion sizes, and implementing nap time.
• Create and implement lesson plans and activities; collaborate with parents to come up with goals for each child\xe2\x80\x99s developmental needs; keep developmental milestone records.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom, and sanitize toys and equipment daily.
• Teach basic skills such as colors, shapes, numbers and counting, and letter recognition.
• Reward positive behavior and teach children how to share, express themselves, and communicate.
• Participate in Parent-Teacher Conferences twice a year.
• Work with other staff members to form a positive, supportive team atmosphere.
• Comply with all state rules and regulations.
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of Here We Grow.

The ideal candidate meets the following requirements:

• One (1) year of childcare experience.
• Possesses a desire to make an impact in the lives of others.
• Has a professional, positive attitude, is reliable, and is on time.
• Ability to multitask and care for more than one child at a time.
• Has a loving and nurturing demeanor with children.
• Ability to communicate effectively, and establish a positive, supportive atmosphere with management, children, parents, and staff.
• Has, or is willing to acquire a Food Handler\xe2\x80\x99s permit, CPR, and First Aid Certification.
• Willing to attend monthly staff meetings.
• Willing to complete local, state, and national professional training hours.
• Completes a Utah Background Check.
• Meets the physical demands necessary, such as sitting on the floor and standing quickly, climbing or balancing, kneeling, crawling, crouching, lifting, and/or moving up to 50 lbs.
