Responsibilities
Assemble roof and floor trusses using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment with accuracy and efficiency
Operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment safely to transport raw materials, components, and finished trusses within the manufacturing area
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precise assembly of trusses according to design standards
Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot fabrication issues, adjust machinery, and optimize assembly processes
Handle materials carefully, ensuring proper storage, inventory management, and organization within the warehouse or production area
Fabricate components by cutting, drilling, sanding, or shaping wood or metal parts as needed for assembly
Perform quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to ensure each truss meets safety, structural integrity, and quality requirements
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols related to construction, machining, and warehouse operations
Skills
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment used in truss assembly
Experience with forklift operation and materials handling within a manufacturing or warehouse setting
Strong mechanical knowledge related to carpentry, machining, and construction principles
Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, or schematics accurately
Knowledge of millwork techniques and assembly processes for structural components
Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards and best practices in construction environments
Warehouse experience is a plus for efficient inventory management and organization
Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality
