W&B Service Company has an excellent opportunity for a

Truck Technician

. We are the largest transport refrigeration dealer of Carrier Transicold, a world leader in Truck, Trailer and rail refrigeration systems. We are also the nation's largest full service Hyundai Translead trailer dealer. We have 21 facilities throughout the Southwest, including Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma.

Truck Technician Duties will include:

Perform repair and maintenance of heavy equipment in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies. Service equipment per company maintenance schedules and/or from equipment daily inspection reports. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary repairs, adjustments or replacements. Perform emergency repairs on breakdowns. Inspect, lubricate, and service equipment. Check, fill, and/or change appropriate fluids and check/change filters. Inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment support systems, such as electrical, hydraulic, suspension, air, and brake systems. Identify and perform repairs and adjustments to various components and operating systems on the truck or related components. Ensure all safety devices on equipment are in good working order. Perform routine welding repairs to equipment. Maintain accurate repair orders, parts usage, and repair. Perform routine housekeeping duties related to materials, tools, shop, and work areas to maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards. Professional interaction with internal and external customers. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1 - 3 years of experience Valid driver's license with a safe driving record Must be able to be "on-call" for after-hours service Must have own tools Ability to lift up to 60 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb, and / or sit frequently throughout the duration of the day Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Attention to detail is key for this position
