Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated full time Tree Climber

and/or

Groundsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for tree care, along with the ability to work at heights safely and efficiently. This role involves climbing trees to perform various tasks such as trimming, pruning, and maintaining the health of trees, while ensuring the safety of both the crew and the environment. Year round work with additional snow Plowing in the winter.

Pay based on experience. Can do salary for the right candidate.

Duties

Climb trees using appropriate techniques and equipment to perform trimming, pruning, and removal tasks. Utilize rigging techniques for safe branch removal and lowering of materials. Conduct inspections of trees to assess their health and determine appropriate care measures. Safely operate and maintain equipment, including aerial lifts, trucks, chainsaws, stump grinder, and climbing gear, ensuring they are in good working condition. Perform tasks such as trimming, pruning, and removing trees safely and efficiently. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions. Proficiency in operating tree care equipment. First Aid and CPR certification not required but would be helpful. Ability to make decisions and solve problems under pressure. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork and client interaction. Adhere to safety regulations and standards while on job sites.

Qualifications

Minimum age is 18. Must pass a pre-employment drug test. Experience in tree climbing, tree trimming, or related fields such as horticulture or landscaping preferred but not required. Familiarity with rigging techniques and safe practices when working at heights. Experience operating bucket trucks and other relevant machinery is preferred. A valid driver's license is required; CDL A and B preferred. You must have a clean driving record and you are insurable.

Pay: $20.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 45 per week
