Senior Low Voltage Technician (Traveling)Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Senior Low Voltage Technician

with proven field expertise in complex installations and troubleshooting. This role is for a self-sufficient technician who can execute work with minimal supervision, maintain professional standards on customer sites, and contribute to high-quality project delivery across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

Independently install, service, and troubleshoot advanced low voltage systems, including: Video surveillance systems (IP & analog) Access control and security systems Intercom and related systems Perform structured cabling installations (Cat5e/Cat6; fiber a plus) in compliance with

NEC standards

Terminate, test, label, and document cabling and devices Diagnose system, wiring, and network issues and implement permanent fixes Read and execute from drawings, site plans, and scope documents Coordinate with project managers and other technicians to meet schedules and quality expectations Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections Maintain detailed service reports, installation documentation, and job photos Represent the company professionally on customer job sites

Qualifications

5+ years

experience as a Low Voltage Technician or equivalent Strong mechanical aptitude and system-level troubleshooting skills Demonstrated experience with surveillance, access control, and structured cabling Solid understanding of

NEC low voltage requirements

Working knowledge of IP networking (PoE, IP addressing, switches) Ability to work independently with minimal oversight High attention to detail and accountability for completed work Valid driver's license required Ability to obtain a

TWIC card

OSHA 10/30 preferred (not required)

Travel Expectations

Monday-Friday travel, primarily

out of state

Occasional weekend stays based on project needs

$50/day per diem

Hotels or Airbnb accommodations provided Company vehicle with fuel card Air travel and rental cars covered when required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
