The Opportunity

We are seeking an IVF Embryologist devoted to providing support and education to our 9 laboratories located across the country. The members of our IVF team are leading professionals in fertility and embryology, which is vital to Trans Ova Genetics and our ability to aid in the reproductive goals of our clients. This role would offer support when a laboratory is experiencing an increase in production while occasionally providing training and oversight to new members of the IVF team.

This role would provide 75% travel services for production assistance and would serve at their home lab when not traveling. This position would have the opportunity to educate new personnel with cross training in the different areas of IVF while also providing new techniques and continued education.

Our ideal candidate will be based out of any of our 9 laboratories listed below. They would have 5+ years\' experience. Possessing a passion for education, aiding in success, and striving for excellence is strongly desired in this role.

Primary Responsibilities * IVF Production:
  • Oocyte searching and grading for maturation.
  • Fertilization and culture plate preparation.
  • Semen handling and preparation for IVF.
  • Fertilization of oocytes.
  • Assist in maintaining semen and embryo inventory.
  • Embryo stripping and culture.
  • IVF embryo grading and loading for transfer or shipping.
  • Embryo Freezing.
  • Recordkeeping/Data Entry.
  • Be fully cross trained on both Fert and Embryo sides of the IVF lab, or willing to complete cross training within 6 months of taking position.
  • Traveling:
  • Up to 75% of time devoted to traveling to labs for production or training purposes.
  • Assist in home lab when not traveling.
  • Education & Training:
  • Aid the lab director in small scale projects or tests.
  • Assisting Trans Ova Genetics University or educating new personnel in their home labs with cross training or new techniques
Candidate Profile
  • BS degree or higher
  • 2+ years\' experience in the IVF field
  • Preference to be based out of one of the 9 IVF labs but will consider other locations for the right applicant.
  • Must be cross trained and proficient in all areas of IVF and Trans Ova Genetics protocols or be willing to reach that goal within 6 months of taking the position.

  • Strong attention to detail and organization.

  • Be willing to travel 2-3 weeks at a time.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time behind a microscope, in a lab setting.
  • Ability to work under a laminar flow hood.
  • Flexible working hours, potential for long days (over 8 hours) and early morning start times.
