The Virtual Monitor/EKG Technician (Telemetry) is responsible for continuous remote surveillance of cardio-pulmonary rhythms, recognizing and responding to dangerous rhythm changes and arrhythmias, and ensuring timely communication with on-site nursing teams.

Job Title: Virtual Monitor/EKG Technician (Telemetry) - Phoenix, AZ
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85013
Schedule: 36 hours/week guaranteed.
Start Date: December 17, 2025
Duration: 13 weeks (possibility of extension)
Location: Phoenix, Arizona (50-mile radius rule, no local rates)
Shift & Scheduling:
Shifts: 12 hours (Days: 0700-1930, Nights: 1900-0730)
Weekend Requirement: Minimum 4 weekend shifts per schedule period
Holiday Requirement: Yes
Floating: Possible cross-training to Virtual Patient Companion or Clinical Connection Specialist
Qualifications
Education: Graduation from an accredited program including EKG interpretation
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent related work experience (3 years preferred)
Licenses/Certifications:
BLS required
Advanced Dysrhythmia exam required
Additional Requirements:
Must not hold another concurrent job/assignment
No cell phone use during shifts (hospital provides work phone)
Must attend 2-3 days of day shift orientation (for night shift hires)
Orientation: 12 hours (first group will have in-person GE training)
Duties include:
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms remotely for up to 60 patients
Recognize, record, and report arrhythmias and rhythm changes
Follow established command center policies and communication protocols
Collaborate with RNs and other staff to improve patient outcomes
Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
