Responsibilities
Conduct utilization reviews to ensure appropriate patient care and resource use.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes and care plans.
Engage in performance measurement to track personal and team success.
Develop and implement strategies to achieve utilization targets.
Analyze patient data to identify trends and improve service delivery.
Monitor compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Maintain accurate documentation of reviews and patient interactions.
Provide feedback to improve processes and enhance patient care.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in utilization review.
Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care options.
Support the onboarding and training of new team members.
Experience/Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska with current certification.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
Experience in utilization review or related healthcare field is essential.
Excellent communication skills to engage with patients and families.
Ability to develop strategies to meet utilization targets effectively.
Strong analytical skills for patient data trend analysis.
Ability to work independently while being part of a healthcare team.
Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation and reports.
Experience in performance measurement and tracking success metrics.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
