Position: RN-PICU-Pediatrics Intensive Care Unit (Travel/Contract)

Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU.
Monitor and assess patients' conditions and report changes promptly.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop patient care plans.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Evaluate and implement evidence-based practices in patient care.
Engage in self-assessment and seek feedback for continuous improvement.
Educate families on treatment plans and patient care techniques.
Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.
Assist in achieving departmental performance targets and metrics.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the unit.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
Support the onboarding and training of new nursing staff.
Experience/Qualifications
Current RN license in South Carolina or compact state.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
Strong knowledge of pediatric nursing practices and protocols.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
Ability to adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Experience with quality improvement initiatives in healthcare settings.
Strong communication skills for educating families and collaborating with staff.
Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Willingness to support and mentor new nursing staff.
